Black Scorpion Townsfolk 01

In this, the first of two posts, I'm reviewing a couple of sets of Black Scorpion 32mm scale Townsfolk from their Tombstone range of resin cast figures.
The four figures to the left are the Civilians 1 set, consisting of a miner/prospector, a store owner with broom, an elderly fat gentleman and a young lady with umbrella. I haven't named any of these yet. This set costs £9.60 for the four figures.
At the far right is a rambler and Humphrey the dog. I named the rambler as Russell Tucker, or as most folk call him, "Ole Man Tucker." He and Humphrey are inseparable, which is rather appropriate given that they are a one-piece casting. Together, they cost £4.50.
Next up are Civilians 2, which also consists of four figures -  a blacksmith, a bartender, a doctor and a middle-aged lady. This set also costs £9.60.
All of these figures are crisply sculpted and were a joy to paint. I will be using them in my Six Gun Sound games and I will name them all and give them character record cards.

  1. Excellent collection of townsfolk Bryan, and your brushwork has really brought out their character - every single one of them looks ready to spark off plot lines :-)

    1. Many thanks for the kind words, Greg. I totally agree with you about sparking off plot lines from them.

  2. Good stuff Bryan, I recognise one or two of these figures, I agree they are excellent sculpts, and as Greg says will all spark a scenario or two, or three.
Look forward to seeing them on the table.

  6. Wow, what an assortment of colourful characters you've assembled there, Bryan. Hard to pick a favourite, albeit the blacksmith and doctor look especially good imho. Awesome sculpts and a corking post to tempt the unwary with ;-)

    1. Greatly appreciated, Simon. I don't know if it's clear from my photo but the doctor is checking his pocket watch, which is a nice touch.

  9. I do like the look of the Black Scorpion models. However they're advertised as 32mm and I'm really concerned that they wouldn't fit well with pretty much any other manufacturer's offerings...

    1. It all depends upon the manufacturer, Hugh. They are certainly very compatible with the likes of Belt Fed Miniatures, Knuckleduster Miniatures, Reaper Miniatures and Shadows of Brimstone, to name but a few.

  11. Sorry late to the party again, lovely figures Bryan, strangely I have only a couple of resin figures in my collection, mostly its metal or nothing for me, those these are lovely sculpts. Love the one with the dog best I think, though I notice the young lady has been done in "Vampy" colours coincidence??

    Cheers Roger.

    1. Oops. I almost missed your comment, Roger. It is pure coincidence that the lady in the red dress looks like Vampirella. I simply copied her colour scheme from the Black scorpion website. Still, she most certainly could double up as Vampi. Food for thought!

I got a guy from the internet called Lord who was a VAMPIRE so i told him that me and my boyfriend would love to become a VAMPIRES so he asked me of my Name ,Country, Age ,State , address and in the next 3 days i got the blood sample through the DHL which me and my boyfriend took in the blood into our body and in the next 30 minutes we turned into a VAMPIRE so if you are interested in becoming a VAMPIRE.
