Crooked Dice Spectrum Agents 02

I recently backed the 7TV Apocalypse Kickstarter by Crooked Dice Games and that got me looking back at their range of figures. So, I ordered a few figure sets to plug gaps in my current collection of their figures. One of those gaps was for their not-Captain Scarlet inspired figures, whom CDG call Time Lift Security. For me, however, I'm using them as Spectrum agents, the organisation created by Gerry Anderson for the 1960's TV series, Captain Scarlet.
At the far left is Lieutenant Lemon, a female agent. When I first ordered my Spectrum agents a few years ago, this particular figure was out of stock, and I've been meaning to buy her ever since. Lieutenant Lemon is a character created by me. She did not appear in the TV series and indeed, the only female agents in the series were the Angel pilots. Nevertheless, I'm pleased to finally have her, and I have no problem with including female agents in Spectrum.
Next to her, is Lieutenant Lime, another female agent. She is part of a set of three specialist agents and she is armed with a Netter, which obviously fires a net for capturing enemies. This is something that CDG have devised as it never appeared in the TV series, but I can see it being a useful weapon in Spectrum's arsenal.
Second from the right is another specialist agent, Captain Brown. I do have a vague recollection of Captain Brown appearing in the TV series but he was not a regular character and he may have appeared only once. He is armed with a heavy assault gun. The weapon appears to be a beam weapon as opposed to a ballistic weapon, so perhaps it is a heavy electric gun as Spectrum's enemies, the Mysterons, are very vulnerable to electricity.
Finally is the third specialist, whom I have named Captain Turquoise. He is wearing a jet pack, which definitely did appear in the TV series, although Captain Turquoise did not - he's another of my own creations.
If you can remember my review of the first batch of Spectrum agents, well done! If not, or if if you just want a reminder, you can check it out here - http://vampifansworldoftheundead.blogspot.com/2015/08/croooked-dice-spectrum-agents.html
The specialist agent with jet pack costs £5.00 and the other two cost £4.00 each or you can buy all three for £12.00. The female agent with the pistol costs £4.00. Spectrum is green!

  1. Great looking renditions Bryan, and why not use all of the colours of the spectrum I say. Always liked the angel pilots as the angel interceptor was an awesome looking craft, as with a lot of Gerry Anderson vehicles

    1. Much appreciated, Dave, and I totally agree with you on all of your points. There are so many colours, that it is very easy to name new characters. I think what I most loved about all of the Gerry Anderson shows were the vehicles. Fantastic designs!

  3. Lovely work Bryan, there was a Captain Ochre as I recall both he and Captain Magenta made infrequent appearance's

Captain Scarlet was a fantastic show, as you said the vehicles and models in general were inspiring! Strangely we were talking about this at work yesterday, and how all the children's shows of our childhoods were so much better than they are today! Everything from the Wombles (which brought it up by the way), Bagpuss, Thunderbirds etc, right through to the original Thomas the Tank engine were a model makers delight, not like the CGI rubbish they turn out for kids these days!!

Sorry rant over, as I said lovely work Bryan :)

    Cheers Roger.

    1. Thanks, Roger, and no need to apologise for your rant because I agree with every word you said. So many children's shows of our past were vastly superior to the rubbish screened today. Gerry Anderson was a true genius for consistently producing great shows.

  4. F.A.B job on them all Bryan. Love these new additions that CD added. I am looking forward to seeing the rules for them once Karl gets chance to get the Time Lift player guide out.

  5. Bryan I think I've identified the problem here, my childhood TV programmes were Andy Pandy and the Wooden Tops, not Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons. I'm the lost generation here so it's all slightly out of focus for me. :)
Having said that an organisation with the name of Spectrum is not going to have any trouble naming it's agents, I'm looking forward to see what you do with these.

    1. Ah, John, I truly feel your pain as you have clearly missed out on some great programmes. All of the senior agents of Spectrum were given names of colours so there is obviously loads of choice. Mind you I wouldn't want to be called Captain Beige! :-)

  7. I'm someone who has lived a life seemingly in the background, I must say this final indignity I have suffered almost too much to endure. You see, I have been sickly and weak since the day I was born and doomed to go through all my life a weakling. I seemed to have always suffered from one illness or another and could never play with the other children as I so desperately wanted to. Mother always made such a big fuss over me, also, making the situation worse as the other boys teased me mercilessly after they saw it. I was browsing  the internet searching on how i could be transformed into a powerful when i came across the email of a man named Lord Mark. who was a VAMPIRE so I told him that I has always dreamed of becoming a  VAMPIRES, All i did was just to follow the procedure that i was been told, and i bet you that procedure I took change my entire life to something i ever desire, freedom, sickness free, pains free, fame, influence, connections and even more that i can. Thanks to Lord Mark. Do you want a life full of interesting things? Do you want to have power and influence over others? To be charming and desirable?
